    Laurelin Paige is the master of extreme dominant Alpha males and Donovan Kincaid is the King of them all! This book (and this series) is the combination of all the things I love most in a story. It's a tad bit unconventional without being taboo yet hot enough light your Kindle on fire. The characters aren't perfect and there is an abundance of bad decisions and angst. It's deeply thought provoking and highly emotional, yet doesn't leaving me a sobbing devastated mess in need of therapy. This was one of those books where I highlighted so many parts that were just so intense, thoughtful and profound. The characters make choices you wouldn't necessarily want or expect them to make, yet you can't help but agree that you wouldn't want it any other way. It's almost like you have climbed inside the mind of an actual person and have really lived their life while reading it. Because when it comes down to it, the way she brings together the plot, the characters' inner struggles and the unexpected twists is simply brilliant. I sort of feel like every time I read a Laurelin Paige book that I've won some sort of lottery because it's so easy to connect with and get lost in the words and emotions pouring from the pages.
